The Times They Are A-Changin’.

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

It seems that the times are definitely a-changin’ at least in Scotland where things are falling off the top table, and about time too.

It all started when Michael Moore, the Liberal Democrat MP for Berwick, Roxburgh and Selkirk and Secretary of State for Scotland, started taking an interest in the Hollie Greig Case in Scotland.

If you do not know what the Hollie Greig Case is all about, shame on you. I have written a few blogs in the past notably:-

So read those before you continue with this.

This campaign started to take on a more mature and circumspect approach to its task in hand when Robert Green, the hero of the case, managed to get himself some proper legal advice in the late spring of this year.

As I said, before the Secretary of State for Scotland, Mr Moore, took an interest and wrote off to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Mr Kenneth Clarke, on 15.7.10 asking why this matter had not been properly investigated. This letter, because of its Scottish interest was passed on to the Crown Office in Edinburgh and Mr Frank Mulholland QC, The Solicitor General, replied on 15.8.10 saying that these historical allegations had been investigated by Grampian Police and the local Procurator Fiscal and all evidence had been reported to the Crown Office who decided that “there was insufficient admissable, credible and reliable evidence in respect of these allegation”

In a previous statement by the Crown Office, a solicitor had said that all the recent investigations in the case had been stopped by the Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini, the senior legal officer in Scotland. The same Elish Angiolini was Procurator Fiscal of Grampian Region all those years before when this case came to light and the evidence was considered “insufficient admissable credible, reliable evidence”.

Mr Moore showed Mulholland’s letter to Mr Green, who immediately replied restating all the points in the case including all the recent developements and asked him to withdraw his letter to the Secretary of State for Scotland because he had been badly advised and to re-open the investigations but the first step had to be the removal of the Lord Advocate from her position.

That letter from Robert Green was dated the 7.9.10 and was never answered but would you believe that on the 1.10.10, three weeks later, appropriately at the Annual Sexual Offences Conference in Glasgow, the Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini, announced that she was stepping down from office.

Now nobody in that line of work, at 50 years of age, at the top of her powers, steps down from the top job in the land to go and make scones unless she had been forced to. Unless she was pushed, her elfin features no longer to radiate and beguile along the sexually besmirched corridors of the Scottish Legal Justice system.

To add fuel to the flames and I suppose in some way to divert Angiolini’s dark presence away from the Hollie Greig case, Professor Robert Black QC, Emeritus Professor of Law at Edinburgh University has described Angiolini’s tenure as “a disasterous experiment” quoting the Lockerbie Case and he reccommends an outsider being brought in rather than the favourite for the position, our friend Mr Mulholland, because that smacks of dynasticism.

And so one more critter bites the dust and there is still a long way to go but at least the times are certainly a-changin’.

What I find remarkable, after some anonymous characters laid seige to my blogging vehicle over the weekend and filled it full of the most ridiculous and babyish comments, was that Greg Lance Watkins copied verbatim my blog of the 30th April and all those ridiculous comments on to his website, StolenKids, and made it look as though it had come from his pen, although there was an insignificant link to my site.  He posted the whole lot without my permission and showed what an arsehole he really is, but at least the spelling was much improved, in the blog that is, the comments leave a lot to be desired in both spelling and the use of syntax.

It does appear that Mr. Colin Rogers, Pablo, Plum and Observer, by their very words, are just self-seekers who have lots of spare time, they make a good ally of Greg Lance Watkins; they should all take lessons in basic English to make their epistles more credible.

Now I do not know what their argument is about but I do know that they are a long way away from the subject matter, which is Justice for Hollie.  When you see these type of people operating, you can easily believe in perversity and in paedophile rings.  They are the sweepings of the world’s gutters.

So why are they all picking on me, a little old man from the west of Ireland, to get their algolagnic message across.  They really must be in need of treatment.  If I knew they lived in Scotland, I would really recommend a cosy little clinic in Aberdeen which is tops for psychiatric problems.

To get back to Hollie;  was Robert Green correct in standing in the General Election?  Was he able to get his message across, with the conditions imposed?  Why did the election campaign fail so miserably?  In hindsight I think it was a bad move and did not move Hollie’s case forward at all.

As it looks now that the Liberal Democrats are going to jump into bed with the Tories and as Nick Clegg has championed the Justice ticket throughout his campaign, would it not be a good idea for the leaders of Hollie’s search for the elusive, to bombard him with pleas for justice?  As far as I know he has no connection with Scotland and he would make the ideal knight in shining armour, but he does have tenuous links with Leon Briton, who has been linked with murky dealings in the past.  However let him cut his political and judicial teeth on good Scots beef.  It is claimed that his Dutch mother instilled in him “a degree of scepticism about the entrenched class configurations in British Society”.

Once again let us all remember, Hollie is a girl who was greviously wronged.  We would all like to see her get justice. So will all you charlatans, backstabbers and sidewinders back off and shut up.  What good do you think you are doing?

Disturbing News on the Hollie Greig Campaign.

Friday, April 30th, 2010

This week has been a very important week in the Hollie Greig story after last weekends programme on Manchester Radio Online with Tony Legend.  On Tuesday with only nine days to go before the General Election, Alex Salmond made an unannounced visit to Aberdeen to open a workshop for blind people, think of the kudos that would give him so near to the election, yet he chose to do it without informing the media.  On the same day Nick Clegg cancelled his pre-arranged visit to the Granite City-no reasons given.  The mainstream parties seem to be running scared of being drawn into our debate.

On Wednesday Robert Green, the broadcaster and journalist, who has brought this campaign into mainstream thinking has been ordered to appear at Stonehaven Sheriff Court today, unaccompanied and the proceedings are to be dealt with in camera, in other words no members of the public are allowed to be present.  This is after  his Aberdeen lawyers ditched him last weekend quoting “a conflict of interest”.  They represented Anne Greig ten years ago.  This whole scenario has to be seen to be believed, against a man who was arrested for peacefully handing out leaflets.  His Scottish aides are now, as I type, looking for a non-crooked able Scottish lawyer to handle the proceedings.  Is there a chance?

In the meantime the computer system of The Palestine Telegraph, the only newspaper that has consistently taken up Hollies story, have had their computer system hacked and Lorraine Loudon who is a leading campaigner for Hollie has had her Facebook page shut down with its 26,000 contributors.  Also last night there was another hustings debate in South Aberdeen organized by BBC Radio Scotland who told the Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers (SACL) representatives that their policy precluded any other than the four main parties from attending.  However leaflets were handed out before the doors were shut and the debate continued until it collapsed 45 minutes later.

Clydeside Television are covering the comings and goings with glee for if nothing else it is all grist to the independent television producers mill.  There main aim besides trying to get justice for Hollie is to make and distribute a programme about this affair.  So their main immediate thrust is to get the campaign proper and sustained legal representation.  They and Greg Watkins from  Stolen-Kids-Hollie.blog.com, the official Hollie blog,  are telling all supporters to use this next week as a period of reflection and entrenchment while the political process comes to an end and are desperately asking anyone in Scotland, if they can, to help the SACL party in Aberdeen during these next few days.

As Lorraine says you could not make up all this activity if you tried and the Establishments sphincter must be well and truly twitching and the media professionals must be having nightmares thinking of all this unpublished and unbelievable copy going to waste.  This whole campaign says something for our lily-livered and squeamish media, but it does show everyone where the power at this moment lies.

So Hollie entrench away and ensure your next few steps are guided by proper, just and honest counsel.  There must be someone who fits the bill out there, who would be willing and able to fight wisely for Human Rights in this paragon of virtue, Great Britain.

Paedophiles, Policing and Politics.

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I have just returned to Ireland after a two day fact finding trip to the UK that unearthed one or two nuggets for future use and I am confronted by last weekend’s Sunday Tribune telling the world that Oliver O’Grady, the Irish Catholic priest, who served time in California for sexually abusing children, is now in Rotterdam working at a refuge for women and children and calling himself Brother Francis. My blog Paedophilia, Cover Up, Armageddon on 7th April 2010 outlines the story.

It just shows how there is no control over these people even though the Garda Siochana tell us they informed the Dutch police. They wander where they want and the abuse goes on. How can any organization supposedly dealing with women and children allow such men into their midst. The Church’s mind-set is all wrong and the system does not work.

On another note and on a system that is begining to work is a report on the first hustings meeting in Aberdeen South. Aberdeen South is where Robert Green, the chief investigator into the Hollie Greig abuse scandal is running as parliamentary candidate in the General Election, in two weeks time, under the banner of Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers and under his bail conditions is not allowed to canvas or take part in the electioneering.

The meeting was on Friday 23rd April 2010 in Peterculter Parish Church and was called at short notice and attracted over 100 would be voters

Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers (SACL) bid to win the Aberdeen South constituency received another huge boost last night when the party overcame the odds to score a decisive victory in the first hustings of the campaign. None of the 100 + people in attendance at Peterculter Parish Church left the event in any doubt that the Hollie Greig scandal is the biggest election story – not just in Aberdeen South but throughout the UK.

Robert Green was unable to attend for obvious reasons yet the establishment still took extreme measures to try to prevent the SACL voice being heard. They clearly now realise that Robert Green is not a “one man band” and that Hollie’s Army represents an incredible force.

The first publicity about the hustings was released by the BBC around 2330 on Thursday 22nd April – twenty hours before it was due to take place. Clearly the mainstream parties all knew about the event a long time before this and the intention was that the audience would consist solely of their own supporters. They clearly underestimated the strength, determination and brainpower of Hollies Army.

SACL first heard about this event, quite by accident, at 1130 on Friday morning. Yet within 8 hours we had managed to mobilise Hollie’s Army and had 12 of our supporters in the audience in the church hall in the prosperous suburb of Peterculter.

SACL’ s Regional Co-ordinator, John Taylor, arrived at the church hall at 1915 and asked to speak to the event organiser. John explained the reasons why Robert was unable to attend in person and asked that, in the interests of democracy, SACL Chief Election Strategist, Adam Tindall, be allowed equal billing with the other candidates

The organiser was clearly flummoxed by this and tried to fob us off by saying that the debate would be on “Westminster Issues”. We asked if he would ask the other participants if they would object to the SACL being given equal billing. (The other participants were the sitting Labour MP, Anne Begg, plus the parliamentary candidates from Conservatives, LibDems and SNP, and a representative of the Green Party).

The organiser went away and returned to confirm that the other participants had unanimously agreed that SACL should not be given equal billing. We insisted that, at the very minimum, the presence of an official SACL representative should be announced and that he be allowed to state our manifesto.

The debate began with the main participants being allowed 60 seconds each to introduce themselves. The attendance of the SACL representative was announced although Adam was not given the opportunity to speak at this stage. Some members of the audience appeared to find the SACL party name amusing.

The so-called “debate” duly commenced. Some members of Hollie’s Army reported that they felt physically sick as a result of having to listen to the hypocritical hogwash of the mainstream politicians and their placemen in the audience.

During a debate on Afghanistan, John Taylor asked Anne Begg for her views on the suitability of 70 year old Dr Ian Oliver to hold the position of Head of Justice and Security in Helmand province. Dr Oliver was Chief Constable of Grampian Police between 1990 and 1998 before resigning in disgrace. Miss Begg claimed to be unaware that Dr Oliver now held this position and would not comment on his suitability or otherwise. A subsequent google search for “Anne Begg” and “Afghanistan” produced over 1,000 results.

An hour or so into the debate SACL gained the impression that we may not be given the chance to speak. Adam Tindall grabbed the microphone and told the audience that the candidates had denied SACL equal billing and that we had been promised that we would be allowed to read out or manifesto. The organiser, somewhat sheepishly, said that we would get our chance to do this at the end of the debate.

When the main debate ended Adam was given the microphone and he delivered a barnstorming speech which electrified the audience. He clearly stated the allegations made by Hollie Greig, our concerns over the death of Roy Greig and the establishment’s efforts to cover the story up. The reason why Robert Green was unable to attend in was clearly explained and the audience were invited to “Google Hollie Greig”.

One did not need to be an expert in body language, to realise that the candidates, particularly Anne Begg and the SNP candidate, were extremely uncomfortable at this turn of events. Unfortunately for them, there was worse to come.

Adam passed the microphone to “Mr Scotland”, star of the Paul Drockton Show, who relayed his own personal experiences of institutionalised child abuse and injustice in Aberdeen. He then went on to explain to the audience how unhelpful Anne Begg had been over the course of many meetings. By this stage, Miss Begg was looking decidedly queasy and she attempted to stammer out some response. The organiser came to her rescue by suggesting that Miss Begg and “Mr Scotland” continue their discussion after the meeting had ended.

The debate closed with the main participants being allowed a couple of minutes each to make closing comments. There was frequent spontaneous heckling in response to their hypocrisy and refusal to discuss the big issues.

As the hall emptied, Hollie’s Army split into two battalions. One battalion stationed themselves at the exit and politely handed out leaflets to those leaving. No-one refused a leaflet and by the end of the evening more than a hundred had been handed out, not only at the meeting but at various pubs and takeaways in Peterculter.

The second battalion took it upon themselves to peacefully engage in some “direct democracy” with the would-be MP’s who by this stage were squirming like pigs heading for the slaughterhouse. The Conservative and Green representatives made a sharp exit and were quickly followed by the ashen faced SNP candidate, Mark McDonald , who blurted out an obviously pre-prepared statement “The SNP will not be making any comment on this matter”.

The wheelchair-bound Anne Begg claimed that she had no recollection of ever meeting “Mr Scotland”. Strangely her helper remembered him well. Miss Begg was heckled as she made her exit.

The LibDem candidate, John Sleigh, has high hopes of winning the seat and performed impressively in the controlled environment of the debate. However when faced with the peaceful questioning of Hollie’s Army he gave a good impression of a rabbit caught in car headlights.. When an SACL leaflet was handed to him he recoiled as if fearing that he would be contaminated with bubonic plague if he touched this A5 sheet. He was captured on video stating that he was “too busy” to look into Hollie’s case before being hustled away.

All-in-all a quite extraordinary night which continues the unstoppable momentum hurtling Robert Green towards Westminster.

Dr Ian Oliver who was reported on in the above report was Chief Constable of Grampian Police from 1990-1996 who was forced to resign his post after failing to prosecute a known paedophile who was accused of murdering a nine year old boy. Is it not funny that all these people in Aberdeen with a modicum of power all seem to trip themselves up on the one aspect ie paedophilia. The ring seems big and it is getting bigger, it seems to now stretch to Afghanistan. No wonder the locals are a little het up by all these strange white men with that peculiar ancient colonial philosophy of Bugger the lot of them!
